Frequently asked questions.
Why are lessons ‘made to measure’?
I offer personalized English lessons for student's unique needs. Lessons are interactive and focus on functional language that students can immediately use in their everyday lives. I never teach directly from a book or rely solely on ready-made activities—I create my own!
What teaching methods do you use?
My approach is student-centered and highly flexible. I focus on real-life language use, encouraging students to actively participate and practice speaking from the start. I also incorporate authentic materials, like articles and dialogues, that are relevant to students' interests.
How long do lessons last?
For adult students, I offer individual lessons lasting 30 minutes to an hour, but the duration is flexible depending on your needs. I recommend short but frequent sessions for the best results. For young children, lessons are typically 45 minutes to suit their attention span and learning style. Group lessons are 60 minutes.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
Let me know 24 hours before, and you won’t lose the lesson. If you cancel on the same day, the forfeiture of the full lesson fee may apply. Frequent cancellations affect future bookings, but I am always open to discussing your situation.
Can you guarantee fluency?
No one can. Instead of promising fluency, I focus on building confidence and helping students communicate effectively in real-world situations. With regular practice, I can guarantee that you’ll become a more confident and capable speaker of English.
What makes you different from other teachers?
I bring creativity and a genuine desire to help my students succeed. My lessons are customized for each student, ensuring they receive the support and attention they need. Plus, I prioritize real-life communication so that what you learn in class is immediately useful outside of it.
How do I pay for lessons, and what should I know about payment terms?
Payments can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or cash in person. I offer individual lessons or packages of multiple lessons at a discounted rate. All lessons are tracked for time; if you pay for a set number of hours, you’ll receive exactly that. One-on-one online lessons require payment before our first meeting.
Are course materials included in the lesson fees?
Yes! I provide all necessary learning materials. Since I primarily create customized worksheets and resources tailored to each student, everything is included at no extra cost.
What platform do you use for online lessons?
I use Zoom for online lessons and use every available multimedia tool, making for an interactive and dynamic class every time. The only thing you miss from an in-person class is the commute—so stay in your pajamas, I won’t judge!
